The Cohen Media Group has officially announced the four new 4K restorations that will head to U.S. theaters later this year: King of Hearts, The Official Story, The Old Dark House, and Heat and Dust.

All four restorations are also expected to transition to Blu-ray after the theatrical screenings.

Heat and Dust

Cross-cutting between two generations, James Ivory's sprawling epic of self-discovery (originally released in 1983) is also a lush evocation of the prismatic and sensuous beauty of India. As she searches for answers to the mystery surrounding a long-ago affair between her aunt Olivia (Greta Scacchi) and an Indian prince (Shashi Kapoor), Anne (Academy Award® Winner, Julie Christie) becomes immersed in the local culture, the pull of the past simultaneously leading her into a clearer view of her own future.

THEATRICAL RELEASE DATE: SEPTEMBER 1.

The Old Dark House

Synopsis: Frankenstein director James Whale turned J.B. Priestley's novel "Benighted" into a nerve-jangling tale (originally released in 1932) that became the template for all spooky-house chillers to come. Stranded travelers stumble upon a strange old house, and find themselves at the mercy of a highly eccentric and potentially dangerous family. This atmospheric thriller features an unforgettable post-Frankenstein horror role for Boris Karloff, as the hulking, disfigured butler Morgan. Also starring in early-career roles are Melvin Douglas, Charles Laughton, Raymond Massey and Gloria Stuart of Titanic.

THEATRICAL RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 13.
BLU-RAY RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 24.

The Official Story

Synopsis: The international success directed by Luis Puenzo (originally released in 1985), centering on a powerhouse performance by Norma Aleandro, is set in the final days of Argentina's "Dirty War," the 1970s-'80s period of brutal military dictatorship in which 30,000 citizens were "disappeared." The film focuses on one small story amid this national nightmare – a high school teacher's search to learn the identity of the mother of her adopted daughter. Aleandro won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival, and the film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign-Language Film, among many other awards around the world.

THEATRICAL RELEASE DATE: FALL 2017.

King of Hearts

Synopsis: During World War I, Scottish soldier Private Plumpick (Academy Award® Nominee, Alan Bates) is sent on a mission to a village in the French countryside to disarm a bomb set by the retreating German army. Plumpick encounters a strange town occupied by the former residents of the local psychiatric hospital who escaped after the villagers deserted. Assuming roles like Bishop, Duke, barber and circus ringmaster, they warmly accept the visitor as their King of Hearts. With his reconnaissance and bomb-defusing mission looming, Plumpick starts to prefer the acceptance of the insane locals over the insanity of the war raging outside. Directed by Philippe de Broca. Originally released in 1966.
