Twentieth Century Fox and Fathom Events have teamed up to bring the recent 4K restoration of director Oliver Stone's classic film Wall Street back to U.S. theaters. This year, the film celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The 4K restoration will be screened in select theaters nationwide on Sunday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 27. This special anniversary event also includes a unique look at Greed is Good, a retrospective.
In the United States, the 4K restoration, which was supervised and approved by director Stone, is already available on Blu-ray via Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. It is part of the studio's Filmmakers Signature Series (see our listing here).
Synopsis: "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good." Michael Douglas won an Academy Award (Best Actor, 1987) for his iconic portrayal of corporate raider Gordon Gekko. Co-starring Charlie Sheen and directed by Oliver Stone, Wall Street tells the story of Bud Fox (Sheen), an ambitious, young stockbroker who falls under the spell of the unscrupulous Gekko. As Bud descends into a tangled web of excess and corruption, he will face harrowing choices that could cost him everything, including his freedom.
