Upcoming VCI Entertainment Blu-ray Releases

U.S label VCI Entertainment will add three new titles to its Blu-ray catalog: Satan's Cheerleaders (1977), The Aftermath (1982), The Twilight People (1972), and and Ruby (1977). Earlier this year, the label also announced that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of One Million B.C. (1940).

Satan's Cheerleaders

Synopsis: Benedict High School's cheerleaders aren't shy and sweet. The football team knows them well – and Billy, the school's disturbed janitor, would like to. In the locker room, the girls shower and dress, unaware of the evil eyes which secretly watch them. They don't know that a curse has been placed on their clothes. And they don't know that their trip to the first big game of the season might sideline them for eternity. Will the cheerleaders succumb to the dark ritual of sexual sacrifice and death that's been plotted for them? Only those who dare watch will know!

The Aftermath

Synopsis: A spaceship returns from deep space to find the Earth in The Aftermath of a nuclear and biological war. The streets are filled with mutated survivors feeding off the weak and a Manson-like figure called Cutter, Sid Haig, The Devil's Rejects (2005), House of 1000 Corpses (2003), Jackie Brown (1997) is reigning terror down on all others. Cutter and his gang of mercenary thugs are systematically murdering all the male survivors and enslaving women and children. Most of his targets are easy, but all that changes when Cutter confronts astronaut Newman (Steve Barkett, Empire of the Dark, Dinosaur Island, Dark Universe), and the woman Sarah (Lynn Margulies) he finds and falls in love with, and the young child Chris (Christopher Barkett, Empire of the Dark). What follows is a cat and mouse game of violent and spectacular proportions with no less than Earth's survival in the balance.

The Twilight People

Synopsis: ANIMAL DESIRES...HUMAN LUST! Matt Farrell (John Ashley) is plucked from the sea while skindiving and taken to the foreboding fortress of Dr. Gordon. He is to become part of the doctor's diabolical experiment to create a race of super people. This twisted and maniacal doctor's experiments have so far only created terrifying and hideous creatures. His human guinea pigs, freed by the doctor's own daughter, turn the island hideaway into a bloodbath of revenge and terror! Cult Film Queen Pam Grier is featured as "Panther Woman".

STREET DATE: LATE 2017.

Ruby

Synopsis: Available in a new digital film transfer from the original 35mm negative and in the restored, director's theatrical cut. She's sweet sixteen and her mama (Piper Laurie – the mother in the horror classic Carrie) wants to send her away. The deaf-mute daughter retaliates by calling up the spirit of her murdered father and in one terrifying night of horror, he exacts his revenge.

One Million B.C.

Synopsis: In the survival-of-the-fittest mentality of the Rock tribe, the strongest receive the best of everything, while the scraps are left for the weak. When Tumak (Victor Mature) fails to protect what is his from the tribe's leader, Akhoba (Lon Chaney Jr.), the Rock people send Tumak into exile. Discovered by Loana (Carole Landis), a member of the peaceful Shell tribe, Tumak reluctantly joins her strangely kind people. Tumak struggles to adapt, but Loana will not give up on changing his savage ways. NEW 2K RESTORATION.
