Universal Pictures Home Entertainment UK has dated its upcoming Blu-ray release of Sofia Coppola's award-winning film The Beguiled (2017), starring Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Colin Farrell, and Angourie Rice. The release will be available for purchase on November 20.
Official studio synopsis: The Beguiled is an atmospheric thriller from acclaimed writer/director Sofia Coppola. The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls' boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier. As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events. Cinematography by Philippe Le Sourd (Wong Kar-Wai's The Grandmaster).
*In the United States, the film is distributed theatrically by Focus Features. A Blu-ray release is expected to be announced later this summer.
