The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has announced that it will screen a brad new 4K restoration of director Bo Arne Vibenius' film Thriller: They Call Her One Eye a.k.a. Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973), which was completed by the Swedish Film Institute. The screening will take place on November 11 and will be attended by actress Christina Lindberg.

Official announcement: There are regular movies. And then there is Thriller: They Call Her One Eye. A direct inspiration for Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, and the movie that Tarantino famously cited as, "The roughest revenge picture of all time," Thriller is an unforgettable collision between pop-art pulp and gritty ultra-violence. It's also one of the most influential exploitation movies of all time, mostly due to the iconic and empowering presence of star Christina Lindberg. We're honored to present the U.S. premiere of a new 4K restoration of Thriller from the Swedish Film Institute, and beyond honored to welcome Christina Lindberg -- in person! -- to discuss her iconic role and legendary career.

This show is part of Alamo20, a celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

*Currently, in the United States Thriller: They Call Her One Eye is available only on DVD via local label Synapse Films. There is no preliminary information for an upcoming Blu-ray release of the new 4K restoration of the film.
