U.S. distributors GKIDS announced today that they have acquired the Studio Ghibli catalog and will begin re-releasing titles in new Blu-ray editions. The first releases are expected to arrive on the market this October.
The first batch will have a total of eight titles, including My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and more, with new releases each month through early 2018. (My Neighbors the Yamadas has also been confirmed for Blu-ray release).
My Neighbors the Yamadas
Synopsis: Join in the adventures of the quirky Yamada family - from the hilarious to the touching - brilliantly presented in a unique, visually striking comic strip style.
