The folks at British label 88 Films and High Rising Production have sent us a trailer for a new documentary produced by Dr. Calum Waddell that will be included on the upcoming Blu-ray release of Louis de Witt's film Joe Bullet (1973). The release, which will be part of the label's recently launched Vault series, will be available for purchase on September 11.
UPDATE: The label has sent additional information and confirmed that the new documentary will be released on a standalone release. It will not appear on the Joe Bullet release.
Synopsis: When a mysterious gangster starts sabotaging soccer team The Eagles' chance at winning the upcoming championship final, there is only one man who can save the day... Joe Bullet. Starring Ken Gampu, Joe Lopez, and Abigail Kubeka.
This essential blaxploitation film was banned by the South African apartheid government and is a vital part of exploitation movie history. Never before seen in any form in the UK.
