U.S. label Severin Films has revealed that it is planning to add more cult and favorite genre to its Blu-ray catalog later this year. Amongst them are Lawrence D. Foldes's Young Warriors, Joe D'Amato's Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals. and Jess Franco's Merchants of Sex.
Young Warriors
Synopsis: In a conventional teen movie that condemns violence in the dialogue then supplies it in the action sequences, a young woman is gang raped and murdered in a California college town, sparking her brother Kevin (James Van Patten) to take up arms by night with a gang of like-minded vigilantes from his fraternity, brutally punishing any miscreants they catch in a criminal act. In the meantime, Kevin debates the issue of violent crime in the U.S. with his teachers and others during the day. As Kevin and his gang head toward a final, bloody confrontation with the low-lifes who murdered his sister, other scenes show the difference between his character, now violent, and the normal people he is supposedly protecting. Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals
Synopsis: While doing undercover work in a mental hospital, Emanuelle discovers a girl who seems to have been raised by a tribe of amazonian cannibals. Intrigued, Emanuelle and friends travel deep into the Amazon jungle, where they find that the supposedly extinct tribe of cannibals is still very much alive, and Emanuelle and her party are not welcome visitors. Starring Laura Gemser, Gabriele Tinti, Nieves Navarro, Donald O'Brien, and Percy Hogan.
Anthropophagous
Synopsis: Tourists take a boat to a remote island, where they find that most of the people have disappeared, and something is stalking them. They find a hidden room in the big mansion on a hill, and an ancient diary, which gives them clues to the source of the terror - the Anthropophagus Beast... Starring George Eastman, Tisa Farrow, Saverio Vallone, Zora Kerova, and Serena Grandi.
The Sex Merchants
Synopsis: Cecile and Brigitte are given commuted prison sentences when they agree to help find a girl who last seen before she disappeared on the Canary Islands. Starring Lina Romay, Lynn Monteil, Olivier Mathot, and Susan Hemingway. Also known as Two Female Spies with Flowered Panties.
Dracula vs. Frankenstein
