For the week that ended on June 25th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Beauty and the Beast returned to the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales rankings. This live-action remake of the iconic Disney animated classic was a huge hit with audiences this year. Beauty and the Beast might have scored only decent critical notices (a Metacritic score of 65%), but it went on to gross over $1.2 billion worldwide on top of its projected $160-million production budget. This week, the film had a Blu-ray market share of 60%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only media chart was Summit and Lionsgate Home Entertainment's John Wick: Chapter 2. The violent follow-up to the cult 2014 actioner John Wick, Chapter 2 proved even more enduring than its predecessor. John Wick: Chapter 2 scored solid critical notices (a Metacritic score of 75%) and then grossed over $166 million worldwide, a sum that seems modest but represents a rather sizable achievement for a medium-budget, R-rated thriller. On the Blu-ray rankings, John Wick: Chapter 2 sold 87% as many Blu-rays as Beauty and the Beast and had an HD market share of 58%. However, regarding the overall package media rankings, this action sequel came in third place - behind Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Life - and sold 90% as many total units as Beauty and the Beast.

Finally, another animated feature - Warner Home Entertainment's The LEGO Batman Movie - filled out the top-three spots on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking. The film, which is a spinoff of 2014's hit The LEGO Movie, also performed well with critics and audiences. Like John Wick: Chapter 2, the film scored a good Metacritic score of 75%, and it earned over $310 million worldwide on top of its estimated $80-million production budget. The LEGO Batman Movie had an HD market share of 55% and sold 77% as many Blu-rays as and total units as Beauty and the Beast. But on the overall package-media chart, the The LEGO Batman Movie came in fourth place and sold 86% as many total units as the Beauty and the Beast remake.
