Universal Pictures announced today the official title for the next film in the Jurassic Park franchise. The sequel was initially promoted as Jurassic Park II, but the studio now has an official title: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The upcoming film will open in theaters across the nation on June 22, 2018.
The studio also unveiled today the first official theatrical poster for the upcoming film, which you can see below.
The new film does not yet have an official studio synopsis.

Jurassic World synopsis: Twenty-two years ago, John Hammond envisioned a theme park where guests could experience the thrill of witnessing actual dinosaurs. Today, Jurassic World welcomes tens of thousands of visitors, but something ferocious lurks behind the park's attractions: a genetically modified dinosaur with savage capabilities. When chaos erupts across the island, Owen (Pratt). and Claire (Howard) race to restore order as a day in the park becomes a struggle for survival.
