Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray director Terry George's film The Promise (2017), starring Oscar Isaac, Charlotte Le Bon, Christian Bale, Daniel Giménez Cacho, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. The release will be available for purchase on July 18.
Synopsis: From the award-winning director of Hotel Rwanda comes a powerful and sweeping epic set during the last days of the Ottoman Empire. Sparks fly when a humble Armenian medical student (Isaac) falls in love with an artist (Le Bon) already committed to a renowned and worldly journalist (Bale). But as tensions rise with the outbreak of World War I, the trio must set passions aside to survive as the world around them crumbles and one of history's darkest yet rarely told chapters unfolds before their eyes.
