U.S. label Shout Factory will celebrate the 20th anniversary of directors Joel and Ethan Coen's award-winning film Fargo with a bran new SteelBook Blu-ray edition. The release will be available for purchase on August 8.
Synopsis: In this seven-time Oscar-nominated film, things go terribly awry when small-time Minnesota car salesman Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy) hires two thugs (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) to kidnap his wife so he can collect the ransom from his wealthy father-in-law. Once people start dying, the very chipper and very pregnant Police Chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand) takes the case. Is she up for this challenge? You betcha.

On August 22, the label will also celebrate the 15th anniversary of Niki Caro's film Whale Rider (2002) with a brand new Blu-ray release.
Synopsis: A small Maori village faces a crisis when the heir to the leadership of the Ngati Konohi dies at birth and is survived only by his twin sister, Pai. Although disregarded by her grandfather and shunned by the village people, twelve-year-old Pai remains certain of her calling and trains herself in the ways and customs of her people, with remarkable grace, Pai finds the strength to challenge her family and embraces a thousand years of traditions in order to fulfill her destiny.
