Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release three new TV shows on Blu-ray: Syfy's The Expanse: Season Two and The Magicians: Season Two, and NBC's Emerald City: Season One.
Synopsis: Hundreds of years in the future, humans have colonized the solar system. The U.N. controls Earth. Mars is an independent military power. The planets rely on the resources of the Asteroid Belt, where air and water are more precious than gold. For decades, tensions have been rising between these three places. Earth, Mars and the Belt are now on the brink of war. And all it will take is a single spark. Now, in Season 2, the Protomolecule has taken over Eros and threatens the safety of the entire solar system, while the larger conspiracy that led to its unleashing begins to be exposed.
Synopsis: Based on the bestselling novels from Lev Grossman, The Magicians centers on Quentin Coldwater and his 20-something friends as they discover their magical abilities at Brakebills University, a secret grad school specializing in magic. While there, they come to the realization that the fantasies they read about as children are all too real, and unwittingly invite a malevolent entity from the other side into their lives.
Heading into Season 2, this group of unlikely heroes have been thrust into even more dangerous and unfamiliar territory, and must draw upon their novice skills to defeat a threat that could destroy the magical world itself. Driven by power, revenge and survival, they learn that those who enter the hauntingly beautiful world of Fillory will never be the same as those who leave.
Synopsis: Swept up into the eye of a tornado, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) is transported to another world - a mystical land where an all-powerful ruler (Vincent D'Onofrio) governs over one kingdom, has outlawed magic, and faces not only the wrath of a growing cauldron of witches but a looming disaster brought on by a mythical force. As Dorothy navigates this dangerous world and uncovers her true destiny, we'll see that there's no place like...Oz.
