British distributors 88 Films have announced that they will add two new titles to their Blu-ray catalog: José María Forqué's Lusty Lovers a.k.a. In the Eye of the Hurricane (1971) and Antonio Bido's Watch Me When I Kill (1977). The two releases are expected to arrive on the market in the Fall/Winter.
Lusty Lovers
Synopsis: Spanish-Italian giallo about a murderous menage-a-trois. Ruth separates from Michel after finding another man, Paul. When Ruth and Paul go on holiday for the summer strange things begin to happen. Directed by Spanish helmer José María Forqué, and starring Jean Sorel, Analía Gadé, Tony Kendall, Rosanna Yanni, Maurizio Bonuglia, and Pilar Gómez Ferrer. Soundtrack by legendary Italian composer Piero Piccioni (Camille 2000, The 10th Victim). NEW 4K RESTORATION.
Watch Me When I Kill
Synopsis: Antonio Bido, the man who won understandable cult acclaim with his stylish stalker-thriller The Bloodstained Shadow (1978), helmed one of the defining giallo shockers in 1977's nightmarish Watch Me When I Kill. For fans of yellow-peril, golden age, Italian black-gloved killer mayhem, it does not get any better than this suspenseful murder-mystery which follows an animalistic, knife-happy maniac as he cuts and drowns his victims to prohibit a historic secret emerging. Exactly why the dead bodies are piling up confuses the authorities - but the reasoning behind this sudden slash 'em up activity proves both jarring and jaggedly horrible.
