For the week that ended on April 2nd, Warner Home Entertainment's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them debuted at the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales rankings. Inspired by J.K. Rowling's mock-reference text - an addendum to her Harry Potter franchise - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them continued the Harry Potter franchise to relative success. The film grossed over $813 million worldwide on top of an estimated $180-million production budget, and it also scored decent critical notices (a 66% favorability rating on Metacritic). This week, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them had a Blu-ray market share of 61%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists was Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Sing. A star-studded, CGI-animated musical-comedy, Sing netted reasonable critical and commercial notices for its distributors last winter. The film grossed over $601 million worldwide on top of an estimated $75-million production budget, and it also scored okay critical notices (a 59% favorability rating on Metacritic). Sing sold 36% as many Blu-rays (and had a Blu-ray market share of 53%) and 41% as many total units as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Finally, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Moana filled out the top-three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales charts. This spirited animated comedy was a critical and commercial success for its distributor last fall. The film grossed over $606 million worldwide, and it also scored very good critical notices (an 81% favorability rating on Metacritic), even netting Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song and Best Animated Film at this year's Oscar ceremony. On the Blu-ray-only ranking, Moana sold 21% as many Blu-rays as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and had a Blu-ray market share of 56%. Regarding the overall package-media list, the film sold 23% as many total units as Warner's Harry Potter-adjacent entertainment.
