British label 88 Films will add three new titles to its Blu-ray catalog: Carlton J. Albright's Luther the Geek (1987), Jeff Lieberman's Just Before Dawn (1981), and Brian Owens' Happy Hell Night (1992). The three releases are expected to arrive on the market this summer.

Luther the Geek

Synopsis: A young country boy is plunged into the depths of homicidal madness after witnessing the strange exploits of a carnival "geek," a caged drunk so desperate for whiskey that he bites the heads off of live chickens in front of a freak show audience. Thirty years later, Luther is all grown up and out on parole after spending his childhood behind bars for a series of grisly murders.

Armed with a pair of razor-sharp metal dentures and only able to communicate through chicken clucks, Luther restarts his bloody rampage as he terrorizes the citizens of a small town and takes a young mother and her family hostage in their isolated farmhouse. Featuring one of the most intense endings ever put on film, Luther the Geek is good gory fun in the splatter flick tradition!

Happy Hell Night

Synopsis: On October 31, 1963, seven members of the Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity were found brutally mutilated following an occult ritual inside Winfield Mausoleum. The sole suspect, depraved priest Zachary Malius, was immediately locked away in the bowels of the state Asylum. Twenty-five years later, a fraternity-hazing prank goes terribly wrong and the psychotic ghoul escapes. Now a relentless evil has been unleashed, and the coeds of Winfield College will once again face the bloody horror - and learn the shocking truth - of Happy Hell Night.

Darren McGavin (The Night Stalker), Jorja Fox (C.S.I.), Ted Clark (Wrong Turn) and Sam Rockwell (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) star in this rarely-seen slasher sickie packed with gratuitous nudity and gore galore.

Just Before Dawn

Beloved cult filmmaker Jeff Lieberman already horrified audiences across the world with his killer-worm epic Squirm (1976), but he arguably outdid himself with Just Before Dawn (1981), one of the most popular slasher classics to ever tear up the inside of a grindhouse movie theater. In this powerful bout of plasma splashing cinema, a group of teenage vacationers opt for an ill-advised hike around the beautiful national forests of Oregon. But Lieberman is quick to show that backwoods baddies do not just exist in the American South - they can also be found preying on campers in the supposedly more liberal (and safe) West Coast too!!

With machete massacres galore, masked maniacs on the prowl and plenty of skinny dipping and flesh ripping to enjoy, Just Before Dawn is a horror masterpiece that is finally available in the UK, fully remastered in HD. Starring George Kennedy (The Naked Gun) and Chris Lemmon (Wishmaster), 88 Films is proud to present one of the most sublime and stylish slice and dice creepers ever concocted.
