Kino Lorber have dated their upcoming Blu-ray release of director Gianfranco Parolini's film
The Return of Sabata (1971), starring Lee Van Cleef, Giampiero Albertini, Reiner Schone, Ignazio Spalla, and Annabella Incontrera. The release will be available for purchase on May 9.
Synopsis: The man with gunsight eyes is back. And this time, he's judge, jury, and executioner. Lee Van Cleef, who made his film debut portraying a member of the killer gang hired to gun down Gary Cooper in High Noon, replays his most famous, most freewheeling, most gunslinging role in Return Of Sabata. This third go-round for the enigmatic sharpshooter who administers a unique brand of justice in the American West in the years following the Civil War finds Sabata in the role of victim.
Sabata's skills as a gambler and thief are unparalleled. However, when a shift band of desperadoes bilks him out of $5,000, he wants revenge.
