German label Camera Obscura has officially announced and detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Italian director Silvio Amadio's film Amuck! (1972), starring Farley Granger, Barbara Bouchet, Rosalba Neri, Petar Martinovitch, and Dino Mele. The release will be available for purchase on April 10.
Synopsis: Pretty Greta travels from London to Italy in order to start her new job as a secretary for the successful writer Richard Stuart who lives in a remote villa near Venice together with his seductive lady friend Eleonora. Greta's friend Sally – who also used to work for Richard – has disappeared for inexplicable and mysterious reasons. In collaboration with the ambitious local commissioner Antonelli, Greta follows the tracks of her missing girlfriend and stumbles into a raging maelstrom of lust, violence, debauchery and sex. What kind of game are Richard and Eleonora playing? What mystery harbors the venerable old house? What secret holds the silent fisherman Rocco? The more Greta investigates, the more she gets herself into mortal danger.
