The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Eighth Season Blu-ray

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Eighth Season. The release will be available for purchase on June 13.
Studio synopsis: In Season Eight, we find Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) continuing on their killing spree, both following the commands of a sinister and unnatural force. While Bonnie (Kat Graham), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) are grieving their loss, they team up to investigate who or what may be the cause of their disappearance at the end of season seven. Alaric (Matt Davis) joins the search and continues to look for clues on how they escaped the Armory vault, and Matt's (Zach Roerig) family history will reveal a deeper connection to Mystic Falls and how he may be able to save the town from destruction.
With Blu-ray's unsurpassed picture and sound, The Vampire Diaries: The Eighth and Final Season Blu-ray release will include 1080p Full HD Video with DTS-HD Master Audio for English 5.1. The 3-disc Blu-ray will feature a Hi-definition Blu-ray, and a Digital HD copy of all 16 episodes from Season Eight.
The Vampire Diaries: The Eighth and Final Season stars Paul Wesley (Fallen, Everwood), Ian Somerhalder (Lost), Kat Graham (17 Again, Honey 2), Candice King (Dating Rules from My Future Self, Supernatural), Zach Roerig (Friday Night Lights), Matt Davis (Damages, Blue Crush) and Michael Malarkey (Raw). Based on the series of books by L.J. Smith, The Vampire Diaries is from Bonanza Productions Inc., Outerbanks Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios. The executive producers are Kevin Williamson (The Following, Scream, Dawson's Creek), Julie Plec (The Originals, Kyle XY), and Leslie Morgenstein (Pretty Little Liars, The Originals, Gossip Girl). Developed by Williamson and Plec, the show has received numerous awards, including six Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi, and the People's Choice Award for New TV Drama.
