Today on Blu-ray - November 11th

Today is Veteran's Day in the United States - a day to remember those who have sacrificed for the country by serving in its military. Today also marks the release of 'Band of Brothers' on Blu-ray, which is - in my humble opinion - the absolute best World War II movie or series ever created and Warner has produced an absolutely wonderful set for Blu-ray fans.

Tom Hanks has shown an absolute dedication to his work by creating historically accurate miniseries following theatrical blockbuster successes. First was 'From the Earth to the Moon' which followed his performance in 'Apollo 13'. For 'Band of Brothers', he joined with famed director Steven Spielberg to once again produce a stunning miniseries after starring in 'Saving Private Ryan'.

For those of you who already own the DVD set, which I expect many of you do, don't hesitate to upgrade. My set got delivered from Amazon today and it looks and sounds great. For those who have yet to watch the series, you will not be disappointed.

Universal Studios delivers 'Hellboy II' today, the sequel to the popular comic-book inspired film about a demon from hell that helps keep the supernatural in order. Its unique blend of comedy and action looks and sounds amazing on this stunning Blu-ray release. Once again, Universal delivers the goods.

The fan-favorite series 'Firefly' is released in its complete form by Fox, and Weinstein Company is releasing the made-for-TV movie '3: The Dale Earnhardt Story'.

And if you still haven't had your fill, their is always Oliver Stone's 'JFK' or the latest Star Wars film 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'.
