Cult Epics: Death Laid an Egg to Be Released on Blu-ray in the U.S.

U.S. label Cult Epics has confirmed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of Italian director Giulio Questi's cult film Death Laid an Egg a.k.a. La morte ha fatto l'uovo (1968). The release is expected to arrive on the market in the first half of 2017.

Synopsis: A woman (Ewa Aulin) plans to kill both her lover (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and his wife (Gina Lollobrigida) but conspires with each one to get the job done. Cinematography by Dario Di Palma (Ettore Scola's Ugly, Dirty and Bad, Lina Wertmüller's The Seduction of Mimi).

*Earlier this month, British label Nucleus Films secured funding for a brand new 2K restoration of the film and announced that it has located a 35mm archive print which contains approximately 15 minutes of previously unseen footage. We assume that the upcoming U.S. release will be sourced from the same restored and reconstructed master that Nucleus Films is preparing in the UK.
