U.S. label Scorpion Releasing has revealed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of director Peter Del Monte's fantasy thriller Etoile (1989), starring Jennifer Connelly, Gary McCleery, Laurent Terzieff, Charles Durning, and Olimpia Carlisi. The release is expected to arrive on the market early next year.
Synopsis: The beautiful American ballerina Claire Hamilton (Jennifer Connelly) travels to Hungary to join a prestigious ballet school. The school is haunted by the spirit of a ballerina that died in a carriage accident that possesses Claire. Cinematography by Acácio de Almeida (Raoul Ruiz's Vanishing Point). Soundtrack by Jürgen Knieper (Wim Wender's Wings of Desire, The American Friend). NEW 2K REMASTER.
