Pelle the Conqueror 30th Anniversary Restoration Trailer and Blu-ray

U.S. label Film Movement has sent us a brand new trailer for the 30th Anniversary restoration of Danish director Bille August's Oscar-winning film Pelle the Conqueror (1987), starring Pelle Hvenegaard, Max von Sydow, and Erik Paaske. Currently, the film is set to be released on Blu-ray on April 4.

Synopsis: Lasse, an elderly and widowed farmer, and his young son Pelle, join a boat-load of immigrants to escape from impoverished rural Sweden to Denmark's Baltic island of Bornholm. They are employed at a large farm in Denmark, where they are treated as the lowest of the low. It is ultimately their loving relationship which sustains them through a difficult year.
