For the week that ended on November 13th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Sausage Party premiered at the top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings. The filthy, animated brainchild of This Is the End creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Sausage Party was one of Summer 2016's most notable sleeper hits. Produced on an estimated budget of $19 million, the film went on to gross almost $98 million domestically, and it also mustered a comparatively robust critical reception (a Metacritic score of 66%), given its often shocking subject matter. This week, Sausage Party had a Blu-ray market share of 41%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists was Paramount Home Media Distribution's Star Trek Beyond. The latest of the Bad Robot-produced Star Trek reboots, Star Trek Beyond had a tough time connecting with audiences this summer. While it engendered fairly respectable critical notices (as evinced by its 68% Metacritic score), this sci-fi blockbuster only grossed just under $159 million domestically on top of its estimated $185-million production budget. On the Blu-ray-only list, Star Trek Beyond sold 93% as many discs as Sausage Party and had a strong Blu-ray market share of 68%. And regarding the overall package-media chart, Star Trek sold 56% as many discs as Sony's intentionally smutty animated comedy.

Finally, Universal Studios Home Enterainment's Bad Moms rounded out the top-three titles on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings. This raunchy comedy was one of Summer 2016's sleeper hits, scoring an average Metacritic ranking of 60% but then going on to gross $113 million domestically on top of its modest $20-million production budget. The film had a Blu-ray market share of 42% and sold 33% as many Blu-rays and 32% as many total units as Sausage Party.
