The folks at Swiss label Explosive Media have informed us that they will be adding a number of new titles to their Blu-ray catalog. Amongst them are Walter Hill's
Hard Times, Brian De Palma's
Casualties of War, and Cy Endfield's
Mysterious Island.
Casualties of War

Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger
Sinbad (Patrick Wayne), daring sailor and Prince of Baghdad, sets sail towards Charnak seeking permission from Prince Kassim to wed his sister, Farah (Jane Seymour). But Sinbad discovers that Kassim has been placed under a spell by their fiendish stepmother, Zenobia (Margaret Whiting). To break the wicked spell, Sinbad must set forth on a journey unlike any ever traveled. Awaiting him on this perilous voyage is an assortment of beasts beyond one's wildest imagination. Among the creatures encountered are the Minoton, a bronze colossus; a giant troglodyte; a sabre-toothed tiger; and an "almost human" baboon. The incredible, animated special effects by Ray Harryhausen will keep you spellbound as you said with this Sinbad classic.

Mysterious Island
The fantastic Captain Nemo once again inspires the spirit of adventure in another Jules Verne classic. Captain Cyrus Harding (Michael Craig) leads three Union soldiers in a daring escape from a Confederate prison camp in a seized Confederate balloon. A raging storm the balloon over the ocean toward a Pacific Island on which the group becomes marrooned. Two shipwrecked women share in the dangerous encounters the castaways have with a host of gigantic beasts. Their fight for survival is aided by the mysterious Captian Nemo (Herbert Lom) of the submarine Nautilus, who, in an attempt to increase the world's food supply, helped create the strange animals. When a volcano erupts and threatens to destroy everyone, can Nemo save them?

Breakout
Imprisonment in a foreign country - it may be a fate far worse than death. Jay Wagner (Robert Duvall) is framed for murder by his scheming grandfather (John Huston). Unjustly convicted, he faces 28 hard years of confinement in a crowded Mexican prison. Wagner's guilt-ridden wife Ann (Jill Ireland), who unwittingly aided in framing him by confiding in the grandfather, turns to pilot Nick Colton (Charles Bronson) and his partner Hawk (Randy Quaid) to help Wagner escape. Only the most cunning and daring tactics can spring Wagner, so Colton must plan the impossible. Breakout builds to an explosive climax when Colton launches an all-out desperate helicopter raid that will either rescue the prisoner or cost the lives of all involved.

Double Team

Cromwell
Richard Harris and Sir Alec Guinness star in this sweeping, handsomely-mounted epic drama recounting the battle which raged between the monarchy and a commoner over the very soul of Great Britain.

Hard Times
Charles Bronson demonstrates exactly what tough is in this two-fisted action drama about a drifter suddenly caught up in the fight game during the Great Depression. Chancy, a down-on-his-luck loner, hops a freight train to New Orleans where, on the seedier side of town, he tries to make some quick money the only way he knows how-with his fists. Chaney approaches a hustler named Speed and convinces him that he can win big money for them both. Chaney wins a few tough illegal fights bare-fisted but Speed's carelessness with his money and indebtedness to a gang of thugs Chaney to fight one last match with Street, a huge monster of a man. The final bout is a no-holds-barred, knock-down, drag-out fight that Bronson fans will love.

First Men in the Moon
Around the turn of the 20th century, Joseph Cavor (Lionel Jeffries), a brilliant British scientist, creates his own spacecraft and takes a trip to the moon, accompanied by explorers Arnold Bedford (Edward Judd) and Kate Callender (Martha Hyer). After landing, they encounter an insect-like alien race that lives under the moon's surface, which has an air-like atmosphere. After glimpsing the extraterrestrial society, the group must soon escape back to Earth.

The 3 Worlds of Gulliver
