The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) has announced that they will launch a $25M ad campaign to help jumpstart sales of Blu-ray Disc players and movies this holiday season. The first ad - which is part of the their "Tru Blu" campaign - appeared during a November 2nd NFL football game on Fox Network.

In addition to targeting both college and professional football games, the ads will also appear on ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Grey's Anatomy", Fox Network's "House", and NBC's "The Office" and "Law & Order: SVU".

Recent studies have shown that an estimated 2.4 million standalone Blu-ray Disc player will be sold this year, which will bring the user base up to 8 million players. This represents a three times increase over the user base from last year.
