Psycho (1998), and
The Angry Red Planet (1959).
Exact street dates and supplemental features for the upcoming releases have not yet been finalized.
Tales From the Hood
One of the best horror films of the decade. Welcome to the hood of horrors - a place where it's hard to tell nightmares from reality. Stack, Ball and Bulldog arrive at a local funeral parlor to retrieve a lost drug stash held by the mortician Mr. Simms. But Mr. Simms has other plans for the boys. He leads them on a tour of his establishment, introducing them to his corpses. Even the dead has tales to tell, and Mr. Simms is willing to tell them all. And you'd better listen - because when you're in his 'hod, even everyday life can lead to extraordinary terror.
Deadtime Stories
A babysitting uncle tells his charges three horror stories--about a killer witch, Little Red Riding Hood and a werewolf, and a story about "Goldi Lox" and the three bears.
Firestarter
Firestarter, the unforgettable best-seller by esteemed horror author Stephen King, chronicles the extraordinary life of Charlene "Charlie" McGee. Eight-year-old Drew Barrymore stars as the child who has the amazing ability to start fires with just a glance. Can her psychic power and the love of her father save her from the threatening government agency, "The Shop," that wants her destroyed? Filled with blazing special effects and featuring an all-star cast including Martin Sheen and Heather Locklear, Art Carney, Louise Fletcher and George C. Scott, Firestarter is a must-own film for any fan of the supernatural.
Demented
Many remember this obscure exploitation revenge outing because it was originally on the early Home Media VHS label (once the home for Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street and other classics) and its cover art was in video stores everywhere. Stars Harry Reems (of Deep Throat fame).
What's The Matter With Helen?
"A musical-horror-melodrama-satire-love story" (L.A. Examiner Herald), this "shocking cult classic" (Nuart) is a cut above! When the moms of two murderers escape their past by moving to Hollywood, one (Debbie Reynolds) starts living out her Tinseltown dreams, leaving the other (Oscar winner Shelley Winters) to stew about carving up the town... in her own special way!
The Screaming Skull
An already anxious wife is terrorized by unexplainable happenings orchestrated by her greedy husband in an attempt to drive her insane. This film is a gem from a time past whose frissons will continue to creep stealthily into your subconscious. Beware, they say, for you never know what can strike out form the darkness of either your mind or the room you are in.
Psycho
Gus Van Sant's ambitious and highly-publicized (at the time) remake of Hitchcock's classic makes its debut on the Blu-ray format.
The Vagrant
Bill Paxton and Michael Ironside star in this interesting and unique comedic horror film executive-produced by Mel Brooks!
The Angry Red Planet
Light years ahead of its time, this slick sci-fi flick is "science-fantasy, monster-movie and romance all rolled into one" (Hollywood Citizen News). With Martians like the leggy and very hairy "batratspidercrab," plus flesh-eating plants and a rolling jello amoeba with rotating eyes, you'll think twice before jumping into a spaceship - no matter where it's headed.
When an Earth rocket lands on Mars, the crew finds the planet more pink than red and not entirely dead. As these well-armed scientists begin to explore, they are attacked by unbelievably horrific and demented creatures at every turn. Battling for their lives, the survivors make it back to their ship only to discover intelligent life 0 and a warning they'll never forget!
Virus
Jamie Lee Curtis faces a new, unstoppable terror in this science fiction chiller from the producer of Aliens, Terminator 2, and Tremors.
Curtis plays the navigator of a tugboat crew which loses its cargo during a hurricane. In the calm eye of the storm, they come across a Russian research ship floating dead on the water. Boarding the vessel, they initially believe it to be deserted - but they soon realize they're not alone. First, they discover a terrified survivor (Joanna Pacula), and then they find that the ship has been taken over by a ruthless alien intelligence. Now, the small band must fight for their lives against a that has come to claim Earth for its own, and creates bio-mechanical monstrosities with one goal: eliminating the virus called humans.
Donald Sutherland (Invasion of the Body Snatchers) and William Baldwin (Backdraft) also star in a film featuring horrific special effects by the artists behind the Jurassic Park films, Species and Starship Troopers!
