Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of director Timur Bekmambetov's Ben-Hur, the 2016 remake of the 1959 MGM classic of the same name. The new film stars Jack Huston, Morgan Freeman, Nazanin Boniadi, Haluk Bilginer, Pilou Asbęk and Marwan Kenzari, and arrives on Blu-ray combo pack on December 13th.
Ben-Hur tells the epic story of Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston), a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), an officer in the Roman army. Stripped of his title, separated from his family and the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Judah is forced into slavery. After years at sea, Judah returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption. Based on Lew Wallace's timeless novel "Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ", the film also stars Rodrigo Santoro, Ayelet Zurer, Pilou Asbaek, Sofia Black D'Elia and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman.
