British label Shameless Entertainment has dated two upcoming Blu-ray releases of Michele Soavi films:
The Church (1989), starring Tomas Arana, Feodor Chaliapin Jr., Hugh Quarshie, Barbara Cupisti, and Antonella Vitale, and
The Sect (1991), starring Kelly Curtis, Herbert Lom, and Mariangela Giordano.
Supplemental features to be included on the upcoming Blu-ray releases have not yet been finalized.
The Church
Shameless Entertainment will present a brand new complete, restored and remastered version of the film from 2K materials in original English (as well as Italian with new English subs).
Synopsis: In the dark ages, Knights massacre a village of supposed "witches" and build a gigantic Church over their mass grave. In present times the church's new librarian (Tomas Arana 'Gladiator, 'Bourne') breaks the seal of the crypt, releasing the evil spirits beneath it. The church's ancient automated mechanisms - installed by the church builders - are triggered, trapping everyone inside. And at the mercy of all the buried demons!

The Sect
The upcoming release will sourced from a new 2K restoration and will include the original English version of the film, as well as an Italian version with new English subtitles.
Synopsis: Schoolteacher Kelly Curtis (sister of scream queen, Jamie Lee Curtis) - delivering one of the bes tfemale lead performances in 90s horror cinema - has been chosen by a Manson-like devil-worshipping sect headed by Herbert Lom (of Pink Panther fame) to give birth to the son of Satan, himself. Screenplay by Dario Argento, Gianni Romoli, and Michele Soavi.
