British label 88 Films has dated its upcoming Blu-ray release of cult Italian director Umberto Lenzi's film
The Cynic, the Rat and the Fist a.k.a.
Il cinico, l'infame, il violento (1977), starring Maurizio Merli, John Saxon, Tomas Milian, Renzo Palmer, Gabriella Lepori, Claudio Undari, Guido Alberti, and Bruno Corazzari. The release will be available for purchase on November 7.
Synopsis: Synopsis: Luigi Maietto (Chinaman) escapes from prison he then orders two henchman to murder the inspector whose testimonal led to his being jailed. Inspector Tanzi is left for dead but lives. The local newspapers cover up for him and pretend the assassination had worked. When Tanzi's able to his superior wants him to hide in Switzerland.
