The British Film Institute has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of director Ken Russell's film
Women in Love (1969), starring Alan Bates, Oliver Reed, Glenda Jackson, Jennie Linden, and Eleanor Bron. The release will be available for purchase on September 19.
Synopsis: Ken Russell's lauded D H Lawrence adaptation is a sophisticated meditation on the complexities of human relationships and the shifting social mores of a country shell-shocked by the First World War.
Women in Love was hailed upon its release, earning four Academy Award nominations, and the Best Actress Oscar for Glenda Jackson.
