U.S. label Code Red has confirmed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of director Tom DeSimone's film
The Concrete Jungle (1982), starring Jill St. John, Tracy Bregman, BarBara Luna, Peter Brown, Robert Miano, and Nita Talbot. The release is expected to arrive on the market later this year.
Synopsis: Sleazy drama set in a women's prison. Elizabeth (Tracy Bregman) has been set up by her boyfriend (Peter Brown) who has planted hard drugs on her. She proclaims her innocence, but is found guilty of smuggling and sent to a correctional facility, run by corrupt Warden Fletcher (Jill St John), where the women have to fend for themselves and deal with drugs, rape and beatings every day.
