Acclaimed dierctor Guillermo del Toro revealed today the artwork for an upcoming Blu-ray release of Pan's Labyrinth (2006), starring Ivana Baquero, Ariadna Gil, and Sergi López. The release is expected to arrive on the market later this year, but it has not yet been officially announced and detailed by Criterion.
The artwork for the upcoming release was revealed via Twitter.
Synopsis: Following a bloody civil war, young Ofelia enters a world of unimaginable cruelty when she moves in with her new stepfather, a tyrannical military officer. Armed with only her imagination, Ofelia discovers a mysterious labyrinth and meets a faun who sets her on a path to saving herself and her ailing mother. But soon, the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur, and before Ofelia can turn back, she finds herself at the center of a ferocious battle between good and evil.
The following two films from Guillermo del Toro are also available on Blu-ray via Criterion: The Devil's Backbone and Cronos.
