The Producers Guild of America has announced that they will hold a conference in San Fransisco, CA called "Blu-ray Gets Connected: Creative Possibilities for BD-Live". The event, which is being held at Pixar Animation Studios, will take place on October 15th from 7-9PM. It will focus on BD-Live production and feature many big name players from Hollywood.

What are the interactive possibilities when Blu-ray players can connect to the Internet for dynamic content updates? At the last CES, we saw the first hints of what the new BD-Live service can offer in terms of highly interactive entertainment in conjunction with Blu-ray movies such as integrated games and social networking features. Now that BD-Live is actually launching, both CE companies and the movie studios have kicked into high gear. This panel will demonstrate the best of what's out there today and describe the opportunities for creators to develop for this exciting new platform.
