Bandai Visual Japan has released some specs for their highly anticipated anime releases which are slated to come to Japan later this year. All the titles will be released on BD-50 and encoded using AVC MPEG-4, despite Bandai's previous announcement of their strong partnership with Microsoft (and their VC-1 codec). Another surprise is that most titles include an English secondary track and English subtitles, so they are very import friendly to the US. Akira (July 27th)
Patlabor (July 27th)
The Wings of Honneamise (July 27th)
Ghost in the Shell (August 24th)
