For the week that ended on March 13th, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's The Peanuts Movie went to the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. This animated comedy - the latest to take inspiration from Charles Schulz's iconic comic-strip series - was a modest hit for its distributor last fall. The Peanuts Movie grossed $130 million domestically on top of its estimated $99-million production budget, and it scored a 67% favorability rating on Metacritic and netting an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. This week, The Peanuts Movie had a Blu-ray market share of 55%.

Next on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts was Pixar and Walt Disney Home Entertainment's The Good Dinosaur. An animated adventure about the friendship between a scared dinosaur and a feral caveboy, The Good Dinosaur failed to make the commercial and critical impact of the studios' Academy Award-winning hit Inside Out. The film only grossed about $122 million domestically, and it also didn't connect strongly with critics, generating an unspectacular a 66% Metacritic score. On the Blu-ray-only list, The Good Dinosaur had a Blu-ray market share of 47% and sold 30% as many Blu-rays as The Peanuts Movie. On the overall package-media list, however, the Pixar feature came in third place - behind Warner/MGM's Creed - and sold 35% as many total units as Peanuts.

Finally, Warner and MGM Home Entertainment's Creed rounded out the top three positions on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings. Director Ryan Coogler's boxing drama, the seventh in the Rocky franchise, was a sleeper hit for its distributors last fall. This modestly budgeted feature grossed $109 million domestically on top of its estimated $35-million production budget, and it impressed critics as well, scoring an 82% favorability rating on Metacritic and netting an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In terms of the Blu-ray-only rankings, Creed had a Blu-ray market share of 35% and sold 23% as many Blu-rays as The Peanuts Movie. Regarding its second-place standing on the overall package-media list, Creed sold 37% as many total units as The Peanuts Movie.
