Cohen Media Introduces New Restoration of Philippe de Broca's Five Day Lover

The Cohen Media Group has revealed an official trailer for the new 2K restoration of director Philippe de Broca's Five Day Lover (1961), starring Jean Seberg, Micheline Presle, Jean-Pierre Cassel, François Périer, Carlo Croccolo, and Claude Mansard.

The film, which was restored by TF1 International in France, will be introduced this Sunday at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio.

A Blu-ray release of Five Day Lover is expected to be announced later this year.

Following Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless, Jean Seberg was the embodiment of "cool." Here she stars as a restless wife and mother who catches the eye (and vice versa) of a dashing womanizer. She soon finds herself enjoying afternoon trysts at his bachelor pad, only later learning that he is also her friend's kept lover. The early career of Philippe de Broca is enjoying a reassessment thanks to the rerelease of films such as That Man from Rio, recently restored by the Cohen Collection.
