Scream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, has announced that its upcoming Collector's Edition of Michael Mann's Manhunter (1986) will be available for purchase on May 24.
The label has also revealed the newly commissioned cover art for the upcoming two-disc set, which was created by designer Christopher Franchi.
The supplemental features that will be included on the release have not yet been detailed, but the label has confirmed that director Mann is directly involved with the release.
Synopsis: FBI agent Will Graham (William Petersen) has captured the diabolical Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Brian Cox), nearly losing more than just his mind in the process. But when Graham is called out of retirement to hunt the psychopath known as "The Tooth Fairy" (Tom Noonan in a role Entertainment Weekly calls "one of the freakiest madmen Hollywood has ever given us") he must once again confront the horrors of "Hannibal The Cannibal." If Will Graham enters the mind of the serial killer, can he ever come back?
