Paramount Pictures will produce a film based on
The Little House on the Prairie television series. The original television series is based on the children's books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
According to early reports, the upcoming film will be directed by Sean Durkin (
Martha Marcy May Marlene) and will be based on a script by Abi Morgan (
Shame,
Suffragette).
In the United States, Lionsgate Home Entertainment has been releasing the the different seasons of the original television series.
Season Eight is set to be released on Blu-ray on March 22.
