British distributors Eureka Entertainment have announced that they will release on Blu-ray Luchino Visconti's film Rocco e i suoi fratelli a.k.a. Rocco and His Brothers (1960) and Nicolas Roeg's Eureka (1983).
From Luchino Visconti – the master director of such classics as La terra trema, Bellissima, and The Leopard – comes this epic study of family, sex, and betrayal. Alongside Fellini's La dolce vita and Antonioni's L'avventura, Visconti's Rocco and His Brothers ushered Italian cinema into a new era, one unafraid to confront head-on the hypocrisies of the ruling class, the squalor in urban living, and the collision between generations.
When a tight-knit family moves from Italy's rural south to metropolitan Milan, the new possibilities - and threats - present in their fresh surroundings have alarming, unforeseen consequences. Operatically weaving the five brothers' stories across a vast canvas, with an extraordinary cast including Alain Delon, Annie Girardot and Claudia Cardinale, Rocco and His Brothers stands as one of the most majestic and influential works of its era.

One of the most revered figures in modern cinema; Nicolas Roeg's Eureka was barely released at the time of its making and overlooked by critics. Now, three decades later, it returns to reclaim a place among both the front ranks of Roeg's work and as one of the most extraordinary studio films of the 1980s.
Twenty years after uncovering an unimaginable bounty of gold in the Klondike, prospector Jack McCann, now settled in the Caribbean, finds both his wealth and soul at stake amongst a sinister web of nefarious influences, spiritual malaise and criminal elements.
A saga of almost cosmic proportions, headlined by an exceptional cast including Gene Hackman, Rutger Hauer, Theresa Russell, Mickey Rourke, Joe Pesci and Joe Spinell, Eureka is as powerfully acted, formally audacious, thematically layered and emotionally complex as any of Roeg's work. The Masters of Cinema Series is proud to present the film in a Dual-Format special edition.
