Anime Blu-ray Sales Double in Japan

According to the Japan Video Software Association, sales of anime Blu-ray titles in Japan during the first half of the year have nearly doubled from the same time last year. Representing ¥2,266,000,000 in sales (1.6% of the total market), Blu-ray anime title sales have increased by 96%, and are expected to continue to increase throughout the remainder of the year.
