Christopher McQuarrie confirmed via Twitter today that he will be back to direct the next Mission Impossible film. McQuarrie will reunite with Tom Cruise, who has already committed to the upcoming film.
Previously, McQuarrie and Cruise collaborated on Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Jack Reacher, and this summer's blockbuster Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. The first two films are already out on Blu-ray. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation will be released on Blu-ray on December 15.
In 1996, McQuarrie won Oscar Award for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen (The Usual Suspects).
