Sony Pictures Animation will deliver a new
Ghostbusters film. According to Variety, which broke the news, the upcoming animated film will be produced by Ivan Reitman through his Montecito Picture Company.
At the moment, Sony does not have a writer and director for the film.
Paul Feig is also directing a new
Ghostbusters film for Sony Pictures with Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Currently, the film is set to open in theaters across the United States on July 15, 2016.
Ivan Reitman's original film was recently remastered in 4K and released on Blu-ray by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. You can see our listing and review of this release
