For the week that ended on September 20th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Furious 7 was at the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. The latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise quickly became one of the series' most successful entries. Despite its average critical notices (the film has a Metacritic score of 67%), Furious 7 grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide and has already set records on home-media platforms; during its first week of sales, the picture sold over 2.5 million units and made more than $52.5 million. This week, Furious 7 had a strong Blu-ray market share of 62%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media rankings was Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Cinderella. Director Kenneth Branagh's live-action interpretation of the iconic Disney cartoon was a modest success last March. The film has a Metacritic score of 67%, and it grossed over $201 million domestically on top of a projected $95 million budget. Cinderella sold 46% as many Blu-rays as Furious 7 and 48% as many total units, and its Blu-ray market share was 60%.

Finally, Mad Max: Fury Road rounded out the top three spots on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. Despite enduring pre-production headaches and a grueling production schedule, director George Miller's latest installment in his Mad Max franchise proved one of Summer 2015's most beloved pictures. The film grossed over $374 million worldwide on top of its projected $150 million budget, and it performed even better with critics, netting an 89% score on Metacritic. On the Blu-ray-only list, Fury Road sold 5% as many discs as Furious 7 and had an HD market share of 47%. On the overall package-media chart, Fury Road sold 7% as many total units as Furious 7.
