A brand new
King Kong vs. Godzilla film might be coming up soon. According to Deadline, which broke the news, Legendary Pictures is moving its upcoming
Kong: Skull Island from Universal to Warner Bros. so that it can produce the rumored
King Kong vs. Godzilla.
Toho, who own the rights to Godzilla, are also involved in the ongoing negotiations.
Previously, the two legendary creatures clashed in Ishirô Honda's film

Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct
Kong: Skull Island from a script by Max Borenstein (
Godzilla) and Derek Connolly (
Jurassic World). The cast includes Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and John C. Reilly. Previously, the film was set to open in theaters across the United States on March 10, 2017.
