Warner Home Video Japan has announced that they will release '
An American in Paris' for Blu-ray on November 5th. Last word from the studio was that the title (which was recently remastered for a DVD release next week) would be released in early 2009 on Blu-ray. It appears that at least in Japan, that is not the case and high definition fans will be able to get a hold of this region-free title in a few short months.
Also released on that same day will be constantly shuffled Blu-ray release of '
The Shawshank Redemption' and a non-digibook Blu-ray release of '
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.
Coming a month later on December 10th, Warner Japan will bundle all five of their Blu-ray Stanley Kubrick films ('
The Shining', '
A Clockwork Orange', '
Eyes Wide Shut', '
2001: A Space Odyssey', and '
Full Metal Jacket') into a limited edition box set.
