Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle plans to direct a sequel to Trainspotting. According to Deadline, which broke the news, John Hodge already has a script for Trainspotting 2, and the stars that made the original film all want to do the the sequel.
Details about the plot of the upcoming film are yet to be revealed, but the story will apparently take place at least 20 years later.
The cast of the original film includes Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, Peter Mullan, Kevin McKidd, James Cosmo, and Shirley Henderson.
