Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the first trailer for J Blakeson's upcoming film The The 5th Wave (2016), starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Liev Schreiber, Maika Monroe, Maria Bello, and Ron Livingston. Currently, the film is set to open in theaters across the United States on January 29, 2016.
Synopsis: In the new film The 5th Wave, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him. Based on the bestseller by Rick Yancey. Cinematography by Enrique Chediak (28 Weeks Later, The Maze Runner).
