Independent British distributors 101 Films will add to their Blu-ray catalog two films directed by Gordon Hessler and starring Shô Kosugi:
Pray for Death (1985) and
Rage of Honor (1987).
Supplemental features to be included on these upcoming releases are yet to be revealed.
Pray for Death
Synopsis: They shattered his American dream... The Ninja master himself, Shô Kosugim stars as Akira, a Japanese immigrant who moves to America. Hoping for a simple life, he opens a restaurant with his family but his world is shattered when he stumbles upon the headquarters of a sinister gang, led by crime lord Limehouse Willie. Wrongfully accused of stealing a precious necklace, the gangsters begin a rampage of murder that takes the life of Akira's wife and threatens the lives of his two sons. Now Akira must step out of his quiet life and reveal his other identity; that of a perfectly skilled Ninja and the most lethal and mysterious of all martial artists. Rage of Honor
When his partner is murdered by sadistic drug dealers, narcotics cop Shiro Tanaka (Kosugi) vows revenge. Disobeying orders,he tracks the killers from Singapore to Buenos Aires. But in a cruel twist, the killers kidnap Tanaka's girlfriend and take her deep into the jungles of South America. Now, armed with an arsenal of deadly weapons, Tanaka must use all his powers to destroy a battalion of highly trained terrorists and get her back.
