Independent distributors Kino Lorber will add to their Blu-ray catalog director Richard Lester's comedy
How I Won the War (1967), starring John Lennon, Michael Crawford, Roy Kinnear, Lee Montague, and Jack MacGowran. The release is expected to arrive on the market later this year.
Synopsis: John Lennon in his first solo film performance in a film that combines battle footage and one liners parodying the absurdity of war. Goodbody (Michael Crawford) must lead his battalion into Egypt to build a cricket pitch. Lester, the director, appears to send up filmakers who glomorise and glorify war.
